Alida, who was diagnosed with neuroendocrine hyperplasia of infancy (NEHI) when she was just eight months old, she is able to breathe without carrying the tube but it is very hard for her.

And then a service dog Mr. Gibbs came to help the girl and her family. who carry oxygen cylinder at the back.

In 2005, Alida’s disease discovered. There are only 800 total registered case in worldwide. The lungs damaged to filter oxygen through extra layers of cells. which make her difficult to breath or even stop breathing.


Help came in the form of a golden poodle named as Mr. Gibbs. Thanks to coach Ashley Kinsley, the dog walks around with little Alids and carry it’s oxygen cylinders.

Alida’s mother says, her daughter never complains about his condition, although she tried to pull the tube from the bottle.

Mr. Gibbs and Alida are growing up and learning about the world together. Alida was very fond of dogs, she said that it’s her best friend.

The condition of girl was not so bad. The good news was that the problem of her lungs had not grown, so the girl become more healthly and can go without an oxygen cylinder.

Alida’s mother says, that Mr. Gibbs is a faithful dog, he is very curious, loves to run and play, but when he carry oxygen cylinder at back, he immediately becomes serious, as he understand what it’s responsibility.

Alida and Mr. Gibbs are growing together. Now the girl does not need to carry oxygen cylinder everywhere. It would be inconvenient without Mr. Gibbs.

The dog is completely subordinate to the commands of the little girl. They were always seem to be happy next to each other.

Now Alida’s parent had joined a charitable organiztion to raise funds for children suffering the same disease.
